ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - May 6, 2013) - Today, the Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA), the leading and largest trade organization serving the life settlement industry, announced the final agenda for its 19th Annual Spring Life Settlement Conference. This year's conference, "Life Settlements: The Next Ten Years of Unlimited Opportunities," will take place May 29th-31st at the Venetian Las Vegas.

"The lineup of speakers is absolutely outstanding and the topics are fundamental to the market," says Darwin Bayston, LISA's President and CEO. "This year's conference will exceed expectations in the depth and breadth of its content. LISA's life settlement conferences are the most comprehensive forum for industry dialogue and networking," said Bayston, noting that LISA's conference attendance has grown steadily over the past two years. "The topics, speakers and attendee participation will focus on the resurgent secondary market for life insurance, including presentations on increasing consumer awareness, policy submissions and attracting institutional capital to the secondary market," Bayston stated.

The conference will open with a key note presentation by Scott Burrows, an international public speaker with an incredible and inspirational message. He sees opportunities where others might only see road blocks.

Among the keynote topics that attendees will hear include the first public report on the extensive research conducted by the London Business School on the economic value of life settlements to consumers and the related investor returns. This research is based on the most comprehensive single-source dataset of over 9,000 policies.

Attendees will also engage with a panel of distinguished legislators who have been directly engaged on life settlement issues. They will discuss their past experiences and new legislative initiatives already underway in the states.

Also, attendees will hear from and interact with the two leading publications covering the secondary market for life insurance, National Underwriter and The Life Settlements Report.

Other highlights of the conference program include:

  • The Convergence of Life Settlements and Long-Term Care
  • Re-introducing Life Settlements to Producers, Financial Advisors, Estate Planners and Others
